1979 -1986 THOMSON C.S.F Simulator Division
The pioneers of digital models.
In 1979, I join the THOMSON CSF Simulator Division as an industrial draughtsman.
Four years later, I left the design department to go to a new sector specialized in creating computer graphics for visuals.
There I realized data-bases for military simulators of planes, helicopters and tanks.
Quickly, these new pictures got civilian interest. I then worked on the first credits for television shows like Pixifolies on TF1, Los Angeles 84 for the Olympic Games and the Club de la Press for Canal+
1986 -1996 ARTEFACT – DIA3
An adventure of 10 years.
In 1986 with two engineers from THOMSON we created a production Computer graphics company : ARTEFACT. We realize real time data bases, but also still pictures and movies.
We work as subcontractors for RENAULT, LINK MILES and THOMSON for their simulator branches. The City hall of Toulouse, PSA, the CNES and AEROSPATIALE for communication.
The RENAULT projects are databases of circuit for cars and trucks used day and night. For LINK MILES and THOMSON I do technical on site assistance for plane simulators.
In the communication area, we realize movies and pictures to present architecture projects, concept cars and satellites as well as future planes.
I took part in the creation of the software Wrapstyler for the companies Michel Thierry, Bertand Faure Automobile and IBM. This software visualizes a fabric on a 3D shape (like a car seat) from CAD.
In 1989 after an increase of capital the company is renamed DIA3. Association with two complementary companies : AUDIO3 (video) and DIAF (multimedia).
We work on other communication projects for AIRBUS, MATRA MS, the DDE, RTE and ASF.
1996 – 2011 : OKTAL
In 1996 I left DIA3 to take a position of project manager at OKTAL
My role is to manage production on car and railroad driving simulation projects, and digital models for urbanism. I worked notably on the « Mont Saint Michel » project for 7 years.
There after I became manager of the graphics department at OKTAL. I manage a team of ten to twenty people with internal resources and subcontractors depending on the volume of business.
